Overview

Virtual Watchtower (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is Nepal’s narrative intelligence platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit vwatchtower.ai, submit an early-access application, or otherwise interact with our services, and how we use, protect, and share that information.

By using this website you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not submit your information.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

When you complete the early-access application form we collect:

• Full name
• Organization : The outlet, firm, or institution you represent
• Role : Your professional role category
• Email address : Used to respond to your application

We do not collect payment information, passwords, or government identifiers.

Automatically collected information

Our hosting infrastructure may record standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and page load times for security and performance purposes. These logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not used for behavioural tracking.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on the early-access form to distinguish human submissions from automated bots. reCAPTCHA v3 runs invisibly in the background. No checkbox or image challenge is shown to you. Google may collect hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and send it to Google for analysis in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. We use the resulting score solely to decide whether to accept or reject a form submission and do not share it with third parties.

How We Use Your Information

Information collected through the early-access form is used exclusively to:

• Review and respond to your application
• Notify you of your application status and, if accepted, onboarding next steps
• Send occasional product updates relevant to your early-access status (you may opt out at any time)

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Email and Transactional Communications

Application submissions are delivered to our team inbox via a transactional email service. Your name, organization, role, and email address are included in that delivery. Email server processes this data solely to route the email and does not retain it beyond their standard operational period.

Reply communications from our team are sent directly from our domain. We do not add applicants to marketing mailing lists without explicit consent.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Vercel (hosting), ZeptoMail (transactional email), and Google (reCAPTCHA) receive limited data necessary to provide their services, under their respective privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by applicable Nepali law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, applicant data may transfer to the successor entity, which will remain bound by this Policy.

Data Retention

Early-access application data is retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. After that period, records are permanently deleted from our systems.

Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Application submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and delivered via an encrypted SMTP connection. Access to applicant data is restricted to team members who need it to process applications.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take commercially reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access : Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction : Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion : Request that we delete your personal data
• Withdrawal : Withdraw consent to receive product communications at any time

Children’s Privacy

This website is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by a revised effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
